Couples massage in Amsterdam for the week a partner comes to stay
Couples massage covers any booking where two guests are in the room. On a long stay it usually happens when a partner flies in for a week or a long weekend to see where the other has been living. There are two ways to book it. One therapist can work with both of you, taking turns or sharing the session, at double the single hourly fee. Or each of you can have a therapist of your own, working side by side, at four times that fee. The second needs more space and more notice. Either way, both guests must be twenty-one or over and both must want the booking; the house takes a couple booking only when both have agreed to it.
Where it comes from
Couples suites appeared in hotel spas around the turn of the century, when resorts began designing treatment rooms with two tables side by side. The in-room version keeps the idea of a shared session and removes the spa around it.
How it is worked
With one therapist, the session alternates between the two guests or moves between them at a pace she sets. With two, each works with one guest, usually in the same room. Each therapist decides her part of the session within her own limits.
What the hour holds
She arrives, or they arrive, and there is a short conversation about how the session will run and in which order. With one therapist, one of you usually waits while the other begins. With two, both sessions run together. Each therapist names her limits at the start, and they apply for the whole visit. The booking ends at the time agreed.
Who asks for it
A partner visiting for a week of a posting. A couple on a sabbatical together. Two people on a long remote-work stay who want an evening that is not about work.
What it leaves behind
It gives a visiting partner a sense of the life the other has been living in the city, and an evening that belongs to the two of them rather than to the posting.
At your address
Couples massage in Amsterdam as an outcall to rented flats, serviced apartments and hotel rooms, with one therapist between two guests or a therapist each, across central Amsterdam and at Schiphol airport hotels by arrangement.
Length
One therapist for a couple: twice the single fee, at an hour, ninety minutes or two hours. A therapist each: four times it at those same lengths. Kept for a whole night, a shared therapist costs two single blocks, while two therapists are billed across all eight hours at the four-fold rate.

Questions about this one
Which option works in a small flat?
One therapist between the two of you. A therapist each needs space for two sessions at once, which a studio usually lacks.
Do both of us need to agree to the booking?
Yes. Both guests must be twenty-one or over and both must want it. A booking that one person has not agreed to is not taken.
Is there a deposit?
A booking with two therapists always carries half ahead. With one therapist, the usual rules apply: half ahead on a first booking or anything arranged more than twenty-four hours in advance.
