The deposit, read across a long stay
The deposit is half the fee, paid before she sets out, on seven kinds of booking including every first booking and anything arranged over a day ahead.
A deposit is the first half of the fee, paid in advance once the booking is agreed. It is not a separate charge and not a security returned afterwards. The other half is the balance, paid at the door.
When it applies
Half goes ahead on seven kinds of booking:
- the first booking a guest makes with the house;
- any booking arranged more than twenty-four hours before it starts;
- a session of three hours or longer;
- an overnight;
- any booking with two therapists;
- a booking at Schiphol or an airport hotel;
- any booking on a peak date.
The one exception is a returning guest asking for one or two hours later the same day at an address in the city, which is paid in full on arrival.
Over a long stay
For a guest who books many times, the rule reduces to a practical question: planned ahead or decided on the day? Bookings made days in advance carry half ahead every time. Same-day requests for one or two hours, after the first booking, do not.
How it is paid
By card, or by Revolut, Wise or cryptocurrency. Bank transfers and PayPal are outside the options, and a deposit can never be made in cash. The amount and the details appear only in the booking thread. What happens to a deposit when a booking is cancelled is set out under cancellation and refunds.
